The original main part of the Centre was built in 1838 as
the first village school to provide education for the local miners children,
with additions being added in 1850 & 1852.
Internally the Centre offers modern and comfortable
surroundings in a unique old world setting adding character to
any function.
It has it’s own car parking facilities catering for over
40 cars around the building with dedicated disabled spaces.
The centre has full disabled access and toilet facilities.
